Children also have their test control of asthma!

Children also have their test control of asthma! If you have a child who has asthma, you know it is sometimes difficult to assess the symptoms he suffers repercussions in their daily life and the actual effectiveness of treatment. There is a specific tool to assess asthma control of children aged 4 to 11 years.

Control of asthma: the pediatric test

People over age 12 have a test to determine if their asthma is well controlled. This test has been declined for children aged 4 to 11 years.

Specifically adapted to children, it is short, simple and easy to use by young children and their parents.

It has 7 questions: 4 to which the child must respond, and 3 for the parents.

This test thus involves both the child and its parents and can be performed before or during a doctor visit.

Its objectives are multiple:

* Detect asthmatic children whose asthma is uncontrolled (inappropriate behavior, inappropriate treatment).

* Facilitate the monitoring and control of asthma.

* To promote dialogue between children, parents and the physician.

Beware, the test does not diagnose.

All asthmatics should be vaccinated against the flu!
